I've been reading up on the ASME vs. DOT propane tanks. The biggest differences being: 1) DOT stamped tanks have to be re-certified every few years while ASME do not; and 2) ASME tanks can be re-filled in location, whereas the DOT tanks must be removed.

I found a good deal on a used one of these small ASME tanks. I can get it for only $200. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Flame-K...l-Horizontal-RV-Propane-Tank-YSN122/308873002

The height, including the mounting bracket, is 15.5". And the length is 28".

I think the only possible location would be if I removed the spare tire and used that space. I could possibly do a rear-mount spare tire, but that seems like a lot of work.
