I just picked up this 2015 tundra CM, 60k miles and it's got what Im guessing is a 3" OME lift, aftermarket wheels and 285/75/18 tires. I have been going through it and changing all the fluids and while doing the rear diff, I noticed the leafs were flat.

I looked up the OME 3" and it seems to me, my truck has different shackles and I dont really see a lift block under the leafs? But my truck sits level. My kids said it rides rough and shakes when we are on rough road in the back seat, could this be why?

What leafs do I need to get that will keep my truck sitting level with my current suspension?

Thanks in advance for the help!

    Too many, but not enough....
Those look like Coachbuilder +3 shackles. Your leafs don't look horrible but they don't look great either. They look like they are toast. The shackle probably exacerbated the issue combined with that stock bump stop. It is probably over flexing down on hard bottom outs. The shaking may be from the rear suspension or possibly due to lack of carrier bearing drop. Those shackles come with drop spacers, can you confirm if they are installed on the carrier bearing?

Yea, its got the drop installed on the carrier bearing, front diff and front skid plate.
If I get just new leafs, do I need to get factory shackles? Im confused by the leaf packs saying 2.5" lift.. I dont want the bed sitting higher than the front...

You don't need factory shackles if you get new leaves. Just make sure you order the new leaf pack with the right amount of lift, if any, to keep you level. Also get extended bump stops.

Also keep the bushings that came with your shackles.

Im not sure how much lift I need to keep it where it's at. Im not sure what height this thing is, the OME kit doesnt even show shackles like this.

Call up any reputable spring maker and tell them what you want. They'll have you take measurements. Your coachbuilders (shackles) aren't made by OME. Whole separate company (Ekstrom Design).

I bought my replacement pack from Alcan Springs in CO. Lew owns it and can get you on the right track.

10-4. Ill give toyotec a call tomorrow. Im not sure if I shouldnt just replace the current kit. Im not sure of age, but it's def. been on the truck a while and the truck rides smooth, on a smooth road, but any rough roads or bumps.. the truck rides like crap. Takes bumps very hard and shaking in the back is getting annyoing

Replacing it would be the best option if you've got the resources.

Stock rear height with everything healthy is 24 inches from center hub to fender.

You prob have the ome dakar pack. https://www.bilsteinlifts.com/shop/...jXF3Jpi-MbYaUdAJqJyFafRuWSfe2EQMaAlHBEALw_wcB

That doesnt look like a lift block on your leaves, just looks like a heavy duty overload leaf. Your spring pack looks like mine haha. (Mine are toast)

Dang, those leaf packs got some abuse...hmmm there are plenty of leaf spring options out there besides OEM Toyota springs. I've always been told Deaver makes a great set of springs.

Im replacing mine with dobinsons. The coachbuilders plus overloading probably toasted those springs because ome springs are usually pretty stout.

With the truck being a 2015 with 60k miles, assuming this OME lift hasn’t been on the entire time, but has been for a while… y’all think the struts and shocks are good?
Looking at about $900 to replace the leafs, and about $1900 to replace all.

I’d like to save $1000 if possible

Alcan Springs and Coach Builder +1 shackles fixed my flat leaf pack. Going strong 3 years later.

If you don't see any visible signs of wear, leakage, etc I'd send it

No leaking on them, just a little aged looking.
I did notice some wear marks in them but I’m not sure if that matters

Off topic perhaps but does anyone know what non-pocketed fender flares add to the measurement? I’d love to know, none of the height measurement threads mention this.

So it doesn't look like you do, but if you've got any lift in the front, you need to drop your bump stops to accommodate.

Sooooooo if you have no lift in the front, but flat springs and a 2-3" shackle lift in the rear, it kinda looks like the previous owner swapped the shackles in to alleviate the leaf spring sag. Cheaper alternative to a spring swap.

From what I’ve read, this should have gave the truck a 3” lift on the front and I’m guessing they did the +3” shackles in the back to level it with the front

If you're sitting 3" higher in the front you def need bump stop extensions or you're gonna bottom out those shocks

The 3" CB shackles do 1.75" of actual lift.

Gotcha. I hate to spend the cash, but I’m going to wait a week or two and see if Ironman 4x4 does a 20-25% sale and get a full kit from them.

Well they must have heard me and have a 25% sale.
I can’t decide if I should get the pro or the standard foam cell white ones.
I won’t really be doing much off-roading in the tundra. Hmmmmm

Best to have it and not need it. Buy once, cry once.

Then again, I have Fox 2.5s w/resis and don't need them 99.9% of the time. Lol.

    Buy what you need.
