I am checking to see if anyone has installed an aftermarket alarm in their 3rd generation Tundra? Given the backorder issues for parts and vehicles, I feel a bit paranoid about doing what I can to protect my truck.

I was worried about my catalytic converters but have installed Talon's plate for added protection. Most of the thefts in my area are from people leaving their doors unlocked and having things taken from inside their vehicles. But, there has been the occasional converter being stolen.

I garage park at home but may start parking in the drive once the college kids get home for the summer. I park in a gated area at work, but pedestrian access is not limited (no security beyond cameras and a key card for the gate).

Looking for your experiences (cost, convenience, false alarms, etc.) if you have an aftermarket alarm. TIA
