Status update: one truck lost brakes and we are already stuffing fenders. Having a blast though.

Maybe not the wisest advice until we sort out the no brakes thing

The flare busted off Chris' caliper and pulled the brake line came completely out. Both O'Reilly and new Toyota lines wouldn't screw in. He's getting it towed to a shop in the morning, they should be able to reuse the original fittings, just with a new flared line. Hoping it's not an issue with the threads on the caliper.

 

Plug the line and keep going??

 

We plugged it the best we could to limp it around, but we both decided not to take chances.

 

Smart. Did the fender and the brake go at the same time? I'm trying to wrap my head around what took out that brake line.

Connected with @Casper421. Unfortunately his brake issues started about 10 miles into the forest. We limped the truck to a good campsite and reassessed the next day.

Didnt wanna make a thread focusing on the texans, but who’s going? When do you plan on showing up? What kinda camper are you? We were set up pretty good at merus. I coulda shit in my truck, but i didnt have to.

anyone with real deet’s like ?kevink? Or whoever? should i bring my camper, or are there rough roads to camp? I know it depends on the snow, but maybe first gen folks can agree on a spot. Maybe polo can be our bouncer.

 

I'll be there. I gotta talk with grill, but I'm gonna try to be there Wednesday. We'll be set up just like at merus.
