Color match struggles

Hey I’m trying to color match my truck but apparently for 1d6 silver sky metallic comes in three different shades. I tested one of the shade but the outcome looks darker grey and was night/day different. Any suggestions???anyone came across the same issues?

 

How are you trying to color match it? What kind of paint?

 

If you have a '14 and its been outside a bit, you are fighting against 8 years of paint fade. Call around and find an automotive paint shop that will scan a body panel and mix the paint to match. This will give you much better results than just mixing to the paint code and having new paint and 8 year old paint.

 

Thanks, I got the base color 1d6 trying to paint all the chrome panels to silver. And yes the paint fade is a bit of an issue. i tried the body panel scan paint match and it got close but a shade off. I was just surprise that 1d6 came in three different variances.
