Here’s Samson. He always goes the other way when I get his sweater. And for what ever reason when I get my phone out to take pics, he barks and growls at me.

 

His name is Fergus.

He identifies as a bear.

Do you know what kind of dog he his?! Our dog looks a LOT like yours, but all we know is that he's a mutt.

 

Kimo is a mutt from Tijuana. For a while we thought maybe a Carolina dog but not super sure really. He's really clean, aside from the fur shedding, no drooling, pretty good family dog. Kind lazy running though, likes to lag on the leash.

 

Ah yes, I remember running across Carolina dogs when we were trying to figure out what our dog, Henry, was. We're pretty sure his mom was a Rottweiler (which explains the boxier head and non-pointed ears), but the coloring and body build looks almost exactly like Kimo. Kimo looks a little more Carolina-ish with the pointed ears for sure!

The fur shedding, no drooling, and good family dog are pretty spot on—twice a year for a month or so each time we have to vacuum every day. Ours definitely is not lazy, though!

 

Yeah, Henry has a little bit of a different look to my eye. Shorter nose maybe? Ears are way different.

I want to do a gsp / mix at some point. My wife has one when she was younger. I’ve never really had a dog who could go the distance. Kimo is pretty good off leash but not fun on leash and it’s a drive to get somewhere where you can run off leash and not get in trouble or yelled at. My lab was terrible on a leash, pulled his whole life. Though I’d imagine a pointer might too.

I think mostly Kimo is stuck at brisk walk speed. It’s annoying. I know he can book it and he’s lazy even when it’s not hot.
