Super Loud Wipers

I can't be the only one, and I'm pretty sure it was the same in my other Tundra, but does anyone else's windshield wipers just CLUNK when they return to the horizontal position? I'm guessing either there's some poor alignment or they have super strong motors, but after they wipe and return to the starting position, they hit it HARD. It's a constant wiiiiiipe... CLUNK. Wiiiiipe... CLUNK.

Anyone?

 

Are they smacking the gasket at the bottom of the windshield? Might you be able to post a pic of where they park. Some windscreens actually have a small mark on them as a reference for where the wipers are to rest when off.

 

My Tundra wipers were the worst of any vehicle I've ever owned. I tried Bosch, RainX, even OEM dealer wipers. Tuuurrrible...

I just spray RainX on the windshield every week and it's helped from the chattering.

 

Post a pic, but either sounds like the linkage is loose or the arm is clocked wrong on the shaft. Should be like 1-2" from the bottom up on the windshield in resting position.

if the wiper arms were removed at some point for any reason they could of been put back on wrong.
