I dove down the rabbit hole and decided to check the knock correction learn value on the tundra and was met with some surprise. I'm very familiar with toyota/lexus ecu parameters from data logging and basically being a guinea pig for an outfit in Pennsylvania running test tunes for the lexus platform. Anyways.

Is anyone familiar with this and is there anything in particular to the tundra that creates knock? My kclv when i first checked was 15.4 below 3k rpm and 15.3 above 3k rpm, I ran a fuel system cleaner, new oem denso plugs, new filter, and did an oil system flush, then changed the oil (amsoil). Kc has now taken a dive to 14.3 below 3 and 14.1 above 3. Only thing I could find in the search bar as far as kclv was the OV tuning thread. Considering an air/oil separator as well as a crank case breather instead of piping back into the intake. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

    Are you on 87 octane?
This is from my morning commute on 91: KCLV 18.0 to 18.2. Will put in a gallon of E85 later today and re-test tomorrow.

This is what I found on the Lexus forum:

The KCLV issue is related to the discussion on what octane to run in 3UR-FE.

Ahhh, OK, I did a bit of a 'shallow dive' and now have a bit of a clue. Thanks!
