How was it perfected exactly? Are we still not mad that they decided to nix the Trans. cooler? :monocle: :anonymous:

Added a nice amount of tech to the ‘20-‘21 models compared to my ‘18 Limited which had the cooler things like Apple CarPlay, SharkFin antenna, keyless entry start/stop etc and the transmission cooler really doesn’t affect me as I have a Pro and not much towing will be done with it - I’m also assuming Toyota got rid of it not only as a cost savings but maybe because it wasn’t necessary and there are a couple of YouTube videos I’ve seen documenting the fact that the temps were within a normal range while towing close to max and in doing so Toyota (I believe) tuned the 5.7 differently for the ‘20-‘21 models and so with all that said I think….

Nice looking truck. They are getting hard to find with low miles. IMO, unless you paid cash and it's paid for, STOP looking at the site! The folks on here will help you spend money like no tomorrow.

I like my 21 SR5 TRD. Didn’t get it until March 8th due to the recall/stop sale. I’m up to 374 miles now. Congrats on your new truck. It looks great.

:rofl:You did some serious bargaining to be able to convince the wife that her Tundra trade in results in you driving a new Pro and she gets the 15’. Teach me.

Lol I think you mean 16-17 was perfection
    Big fuel tank !
    No bs tech
No push start button (easier to steal truck)
    No TSS
    Transmission cooler
    Simple reliable truck
Just like my 93 pickup that’s still going strong!
    PERFECTION! :D

    Pretty things
Hmm. My personal opinion is that NO 2nd gen is as simple or probably as reliable as your '93... But there are some space and capability improvements for sure.

Perfection seems to be a moving target. Also highly dependent upon the user.

Congrats... I jumped up and got a 21 also. Maybe in the future the new engine will take the rank of the 5.7L but I wanted the V8 and glad I got one. I sure didn't want a 1st year V6. I'll take the tested one!

Besides if I bought a '22 the first page of the owner's manual is probably this:
