I recently got a 2000 tundra sr5 extended cab it currently has 16 in stock rims and 265 wrangler
I’m looking for a chrome pro comp 69 series style rim because when I went to the store they told me those rims would not fit because of clearance or offset and I was just curious if anyone knew if they were correct and if they were what rims would fit on my truck that are 16 in chrome with the wholes in them…
    Thanks

My suggestion, have the vendor figure this out for you. This way, if you get the wrong offset, it will be at their advice and not your discretion.

    For what it is worth.

I don't know anything about the wheel you're talking about, but they are correct that the wheel offset and backspacing matters in regards to clearing components such as the frame and control arms.

I'd also let the vendor handle this for you. If you want to do your own legwork in picking the correct wheels, you'll need read up on wheel offset and backspacing.

For what it's worth, I have a 16" x 8" wheel, that has 4.5" of backspace, which equals 0mm offset.

I believe on some trucks those don't clear the brake caliper. 16" wheels can be a pretty close call.

I called 4Wheel Parts cause I had a fitment concern with some 15” Methods on my Tacoma. Method said they didn’t fit, internet said they did.

I asked them to order one in to see if it would fit the truck. They said it wouldn’t and that they would not test fit it.

So, I ordered one off Amazon to test fit it. I would send it back if it didn’t.

Meanwhile, the 3rd party Amazon vendor from LA called me, no idea how he got my number, but he asked why I only ordered 1. I told him why and he said it absolutely would fit and started texting me pictures. Needless to say I canceled my Amazon order, and purchased 4 through him and it was about $125 cheaper than Amazon.

Perfect fit. Don’t always listen to the company specs or “professionals”

I have over 1/2 clearance on all sides.
