Need more info, which engine do you have? 33 E load tires? Stock trucks have 32s in P load. Moving up to a 33 with higher load rating will impact your MPG about 1MPG. Is the truck lifted or have other modifications? Miles on the truck? Is it well maintained and up to date on maintenance, no codes or other issues? Do you run around with the truck empty or is the truck/bed loaded with hundreds of pounds of stuff? Are you driving mostly city or highway?

EPA is 13/17 for a stock truck running lighter P load tires, empty/unloaded. If you are lifted, run larger than stock tires both of those will mean a MPG hit. Tundras also suck a ton of fuel warming up so if you idle the truck each day for a few minutes, expect about a 1mpg hit on the tank average.

Are you concerned with gas mileage? If so, then why did you buy a Tundra?

Have your alignment checked and make sure the upper A-arms are tight along with checking tire pressure.

How do you afford to build a house down hill and down wind from your previous days house? Is it hard to find a new school and work that is down hill as well?

Shoot, 13 isn't bad. I'm 90% city and get 11 with all terrains and a leveling kit.

I'll never understand buying a Tundra and then worrying about fuel economy.

I’m getting 12.7 running 275/70r18 falken wildoeaks. It’s a heavy tire around 60lbs. I’m thinking of getting bbs 19’ TRD pro wheels and dropping done to 275/65r18 toyos. Not sure if it’s worth it.

I ran the calculation on this once. I think ROI was 3 years or so assuming no depreciation on the wheels.

Actually, I was quite happy with the 2010. However, it was totaled. Insurance provided $18750 for the 2010. I needed a new truck. I wanted to stay with Tundra and looked at available market for a used replacement first. Prices were astronomical for used market with vehicles priced higher than when they were new. So I started shopping a new Tundra. Hated the front end and the price. Then I started looking at the entire market and same thing. Crazy prices and almost no vehicles available. I found a new 2022 Tundra Limited 4x4 and spent most of the day really looking it over and researching PLUS I needed something. Considering I loved the 2010, got crazy top money for it being totaled I didn't look hard at other brands, though a comparable Ford, Ram or GMC/Chevy was more money than the tundra here in Austin. The more I looked at the 2022 Tundra the more I liked it and the less I noticed the front end. So I got a great deal in this market with very little MSRP markup and decided to run with it. I'm happy for now, as I have a new truck to replace the totaled 2010 tundra.

So seriously, stop tossing snide remarks when you don't know the story.

I have never figured mine out until last couple months, always went by DIC which averaged around 16mpg . Well, after computing actual gallons burned I’m averaging about 14.5 mpg running stock size BFG ko2’s,s mixed town and highway…

Make sure you are calculating the mileage manually and not trusting the lie-o-meter... For what it's worth my 2021 Pro is getting 16.1-16.4 avg running city/hwy/interstate (about 60%/30%/10%). However, my 2008 SR5 never broke 14...

HA! I got 82 MPG once in my WRX going downhill.

FWIW, I purchased my Tundra in January and have never checked the MPG. I let it run to empty-ish, then take the dogs for a ride to Costco and come home ~$130 lighter in the wallet. :D
