Looks like this could be an expensive lesson learned.

Drove 4 hours to pick up my truck on Wednesday. My son and I had a turkey hunt planned for the weekend, so my wife drove the truck home, while my son and I continued on to North Missouri.

Now here’s the Major Issue…She’s been driving the Tundra for 5 days, and claims it’s now her truck. Loves everything about it. Hoping we can work this out, but she keeps telling me to order my own truck. Be cautious letting your wife drive your truck.

Seriously though, we’re both very happy and impressed with the truck.

Buy another truck! Even at these inflated prices it's cheaper than the alternative!

Nice truck! Sport or Off-road? Also, what are you running for wheel/tire set up?

You're better off sending her in for warranty work LOL!! Good luck getting "your" truck back!....maybe she'll let you drive it on weekends.

Thanks guys…guess I’ll keep both. Like TideChaser said, probably cheaper to buy another truck.

Really surprised she is this happy with it. She has a 2008 Limited V8 4Runner she’s always been happy with. It’s definitely not going anywhere, but may not be driven as much now.

Let her test drive the all new Sequoia this fall. It's the better looking of the two and basically the same vehicle.

Yeah compared to a 2008 4Runner that new Tundra might as well be a space ship. You’re not getting your rig back until you make momma happy, and she’s not going to be happy until she also has Apple Car Play, fancy cameras, big info screen, etc etc.

    Sorry dude.

I'm almost in the same boat. My wife LOVES my truck. When her Highlander dies I will have to evaluate my options. We may well have two 1794 Tundras, I'm just not sure what model year mine will be. She wants mine with the mods (all functional) that I have done, so I will have to start over.

Nice…I’ll attempt to find a dealer that will put me on a list for 2023 TRD Pro or 2023 Hybrid 1794 OR. I’m very happy with the optioned SR5, but want to give the Hybrid a try.

My wife fell in love too, so much that we sold her LX460 in this hot market, put that difference aside, and are now putting the payments aside as down on a 23 Sequoia... while she drives what WAS my commuter, but no complaints here HAVING to drive my new truck back and forth to work. Win Win.

Major mistake letting your lady drive the new truck before you had a chance to mark it with your scent.

    Your options are pretty limited:

    1) Burn the truck, definitely end the marriage.
    2) Take the truck back, potentially end the marriage.
    3) Give her the truck, save the marriage.
    4) Buy her a higher trim level truck, live happily ever after.

Let this be a lesson for you younger Tundra owners out there, a prenuptial agreement is a solid option with the price of trucks these days.

Mainly because in about a week, she'll have her own 2022 4Runner TRD Sport. :)

So, the new Tundra strongly appeals to a feminine demographic?

I'll never have this issue lol. My wife is not a vehicle person, but even she said "WTF is that" when the 22 came out. She has a 2020 4R and perfectly happy with it.
