Bad front diff support arm on diff drop?

Generally thinking I'm wondering how to tell if the front diff support arm is bad or bushing is bad, I don't have any other pics of what a good diff drop support arm looks like would love some comparisons pics if any buddy has any. I will post pics of mine in question tomorrow but to describe what I see is the driverside looks flat across both bottom and top of the bushing area where as the passenger side looks like a pie gap from front to back on top of the bushing.

 

Should also mention its a diff drop for a 3" lift using stock diff support arms. Not a full blown CNC'd 6"+ drop bracket.

Unless you notice the front diff excessively vibrating when you’re in 4wd or squeaking then I wouldn’t worry about it. $.02

 

eh I have mystery shake in my front end and about gone though it all also hear a clunk every now and again. was starting to wonder if that could be the issue with the axle flexing into weird angles causing the CV's to make vibrations. I don't know any more as suspension isn't my strong suit, no Toyota Tech can figure it out and neither can my dad last he looked whos a ASE Master Tech but to be fair he's not failure with the platform. all the common stuff ball joints and bushings in CA's, tie rods look good and no play same with sway bar, new Hub bearings , CVA's, Rack and pinion bushings, rims, Tires are balanced with proper air pressure, alignment is tight and with in spec, wheels were seated on correctly and torqued to spec by a torque wrench. I'm at my wits end trying to figure it out or paying someone to look at it with no avail , its always there with a slight pull to the right and minor vibration to extreme shake in the wheel where it shakes back and forth about 1" to 2" and feels like the front end is going to fall off, also it doesn't shake once brakes are applied or hard fast left turns like sharp ones on a highway but coasting or on the pedal any amount and really loves to do it at 45-75mph by 82mph it stops.

 

Then I’d try replacing that mount, doesn’t cost much and is simple to do.

 

are those called "stopper Differential Mounts"? I can find those on Toyota's site or the "Support Arm" which I duno if they have the bushing inside of them or is there a better AFM replacement option?

 

The bushings are part of the mount. I’d just get the OEM ones, not sure if aftermarket is available.

 

Oh well when you said cheap and I looked the arms are $238 ish

 

If you still have the factory tires & rims, bolt them on and see if the death wobble is still there. Could be the diff. mount,but also look at brake rotors for being out of round and a worn/loose c/v joint, bent c/v axle, worn diff. bearing. Just keep chasing it and you will find the problem.

 

I googled and found them in the $150 range. eBay has them for $75.
