Looking to buy a catalytic protection plate and leaning towards aluminum because of the weight savings and ease of removal and installation. But rather concerned with the possibility of dissimilar metal corrosion (Galvanic corrosion). Seems like the moisture, and at times the salt might make the mating points of the plate and the frame a ripe environment for galvanic corrosion. Anyone in the know, please advise.

Put a rubber pad or something between them, personally I wouldn't worry. Put a coat of fresh paint on both metals before mating it up.

If that was a problem someone would have already said something.

In all honesty, the truck won't even notice the steel, and it is also cheaper.
