Now that growing/planting season is fast approaching here in the northeast I thought it would be fun for everyone interested to be able to trade tips and secrets on how they handle their gardens. I will lead off.
My garden is 45x6. I have it fenced in to keep the dogs out. I ran a sprinkler line into it last season. It sees direct sunlight until about two in the afternoon. I cleaned it out today and top dressed it with Bkack Kow composted manure then I cover it with a tarp so any weeds that want to start pretty much die with no sunlight or water. Also they get baked under the tarp for the next month. CC04724B-F225-45FF-87F2-9A138AB7FFD5.jpgA48FEBE1-7EC5-45F6-8B73-573DD3D41A78.jpg326FB5BB-9F5E-4B0A-9198-6A6CF01FC69E.jpg

My 10x30 is a storage area for the time being. Too much going on trying to catch up. Maybe next year!

Running a little behind this year. Last year was the first as the boys said they wanted to do a garden so I just tilled that patch and tossed up some temporary fence as I did not expect the boys to be interested. I was wrong and we had a decent year but lots of rain and that slope just washed a lot away. So I figured I would make a better setup. Been busy still need to get the rest of the wood, till that stuff up, and get a couple loads of dirt and manure. Going to probably just buy plants this year so we have something. Next year will just need to till and seed.
Wish I had more space. Would totally have a decent size green house with an all year hydroponic setup with fish and all.

The weather here lasted longer than expected. Finally got it weeded and ready to go. The Berries are already going off.
