What do most of you climb on to be able to reach the windshield, hood, and roof to wash and dry them? I normally stand on the rocker panel.....but this one is designed a little different.

I just washed mine today for the first time after washing the Tacoma. I have an angled driveway. I used the running boards but will probably get a step stool for the next wash.

I’m 6’1” and it was too far for me. ( for the roof) hood and windshield could get but it was a stretch

I got one of these last year for some projects as I needed a platform whose legs could adjust. This was perfect and I use it al the time. Most likely bust this out for those washes.

Damn, that’s pretty nice, adjustable, collapsable and rubber feet?!

I think that might be a winner. Also can definitely see myself using it for other house stuff that I don’t have to get my ladder out for

A few... Definitely more than 2
I stand on my hard tonneau cover to wash the roof with a telescoping brush (may not be applicable to you), and I step up onto the front tires with a hand to balance either on the roof or the middle of the hood to get to the windshield (I can reach a little over halfway from either side with my hand).

On my old Z71 I would normally stand on the front tires to get the windshield and hood....which is how I have been doing my new Tundra. It's just that one minor slip and the fortune teller tells me broken ankle in future. On my old truck I would stand on the rockers.....trying to do so on this Tundra is awkward...I guess the way it is designed.

I second step stool…honestly though I have skipped parts of the roof on my last tundra due to that stool being inaccessible (and me being lazy)

Truthfully I usually just drag a cooler to the side of the truck and stand on that.

Yeah it’s pretty nice. I have a 3-step ladder that I use exhaustively, an 8ft a frame ladder that adjusts on either side that is super useful (except a bit heavy), so I never thought I would have much use for this. It was awesome when reworking my boat and climbing in and out, some paint projects and drywall mudding due to large platform, as well as just acting as a platform to cut on limiting what I have to bring with me. The kids also helped me with some car maintenance so they both stood on it and handed me spark plugs /gapped them with my on the ground. The fact that it can hold 375lbs is wicked. It folds up into a slim profile that you can either slide under something or beside something else/hang on the wall. I’m super happy with it.

My mother in law bought me one of these but I’m still hesitant to use it in fear of damage.

400lbs huh…it’s kind of a skinny platform to be putting my size 12’s on and leaning back/forth so I can agree with you on ‘damage’…though I’m afraid that damage may be me :(

I'm not sure if this would work on your '22 but they advertise it as "universal." I use it more than I thought I would. Unique Concepts sold it.1121181100.jpg 1121181101.jpg

That looks really cool and would be extremely useful. My only concern is that the plastic would eventually break after repeated use, no?…unless I am missing anything?

Does it screw into the original holes in the bumper or do you have to make new ones?

The plastic is only on the tag frame itself. Really wouldn't need a frame I guess. Everything else is metal.Resized_20220404_080434.jpg Resized_20220404_080447.jpg

My step stool was a little wobbly. I was worried it would tilt into the paint. Anyone have one that is really steady?

I have one of these, but it’s really more of a pain than a help. You gotta step pretty high to get on it, and I’m fat with bad hips. Neat idea, but kind of useless.

Thanks for spending more of my money! This will be great on my beast. Oh btw, 3 step ladder and an extendable pole scrubber for washing. Waxing is done by rolling down the windows and standing on the window sills barefoot. Hood is done standing on front tire, soon will be standing on this fold down lic plate du-dad if it's available.
