Man, black trucks look good! Shame they are impossible to keep clean lol

 

Nice looking truck - My 2000 Tundra, developed a rattle in the dash after a while - probably after warranty had run out - where the plastic met the window glass. ended up putting some 1" foam rope insulation between it- probably still has it there! worked perfectly, and easy fix. Not sure that will fix your issue. but ...

 

I pressed on different areas of the dash to see if I could pinpoint it no avail. Sounds like it is directly behind the 14 inch display. As others have said, I really don't want the dealership pulling the whole dash, would probably only add more rattles, squeaks and creaks.

 

How much better on average??

I moved from Fredericksburg, VA to Gloucester in 2020 and haven't looked back.

 

Not to mention the "grain of salt/envy" button.

I took that suggestion for that same reason. I had completely forgotten about all that BS....

I do like that pattern.

 

With the on going shortages - I went into this that there would be give and take. The take - the exterior had to be white, silver or grey. The give was the interior color. I do prefer a dark interior but was pleasantly surprised that the seats were a bit darker than I expected - so I took that today as a win. The interior contrasts well with the exterior. I like contrasts, and even though the interior is lighter, the contrasts do stand out. Used the App this evening and started the truck remotely. Doors need to be locked for this.

 

Posted my new Tundra SR CrewMax 4x4 to another forum but sharing here too! LOVE it so far. Changed the tires/wheels and am adding a few cosmetic upgrades to the outside.

it was not a fun experience trying to track one down. Called 6 dealers and everyone was out and asking for $1k just to get on the waiting list. Finally found a dealer who had one coming in that didn’t have a deposit on it.

 

Took delivery yesterday!

I agree with the statements on the interior. I too thought the same things about it until I saw it!

 

A neighbor has a Tacoma in Lunar Rock. The seat color is similar but maybe a shade lighter.

 

My red platinum arrived last night. Will be taking ownership this afternoon. Let the fun commence!

Thanks for all the pics. I'm new to the forum and have enjoyed all the ideas, and it's nice to see people who are happy with their Tundra's instead of everything that's "wrong" with them. I can't wait to post when mine gets in and it seems like a looooooong wait. I'm trading in my 2010 SR5 CM for a 2022 Limited CM TRD short bed with pano roof, and predator steps in Blueprint. This will be my 3rd Tundra and this is a major upgrade from my 2010. Most people (myself included) seemed to have a difficult time finding the "right" one since we can't custom order and I am counting down to 4/26.
I did have a question. Has anyone owned a Bak Revolver bed cover? I currently have a Bakflip trifold and they get so heavy with the final fold and the revolver looks good. what do you think?

I actually did have it pulled up. Only issues I could find were Rear window seal gaps and driver rear fender flare rivet dimples. Easy fixes.
