    Looking for opinions and experience. BTW I have APPX 250lb added up front in bumper and winch to support and 600lbs in the rear on Icon RXt option 3 w/ CB +3 shackles looking to retain 3/2.

    What does the group have to say...?

    I have the 8112s up front set to 3.25in of lift, bumper and winch, RCI skid. Prob around 300lbs or more, plus my homemade cat shield plate is another 135lbs.

    5160s in the rear (will upgrade to 8100s soon) and Dobsinsons leaf springs, which provde 2.1in of lift. This is how she sits right now20211216_153454.jpg

    Do you prefer a digressive ride or progressive? That will answer your question.

    @Sumo91
    So what is the actual lift you are getting up front with the 8112s set at 3.25 and do you know the spring rate for the 8112s

    @AccuTune Offroad - you guys change the pistons often on a OE progressive to digressive?

    King themselves will tell you not to preload past 2.5" of lift for best performance, so keep that in mind as well.

    Only because I'm bored lol

    Sounds like they do Icons to progressive more so than progressive to digressive swaps.

    Didnt realize people paid for Icons to only have the internals swapped. Why not just buy a progressive shock already?

    Yep, sorry for the delay on chiming in. The Tundra King shocks come with a digressive piston. When purchasing from us, we will swap the piston to provide a much better tune/ride.

    Good info here, had no idea Kings on the tundra platform were digressive.

    Yep, here is the standard setup found on a Tundra front coilover. The shims are being preloaded, so it requires a bit more force to get the valves to open up and allow oil to flow through

    As far as actual lift I'm not sure, I'll have to pull a measurement from the center of the hub to the fender, I can probably do that today and get back to you. The 8112s only come with a 650lb spring rate, but it's been fine for me.

    I had a hard time getting a measurement, but it looks to be roughly 24 3/4 - 25in between the center hub and fender
