Does anybody know how to take this off? I'm trying to remove it so I can test an accelerator controller and I have pushed, pulled, squeezed and I can't get it off. Is there a tool I need? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

While pushing the tab down, try to pry something small on the edge to pry it off. Small screw driver or pry panel tool. You will have to wedge it in. Be careful and not too forceful.

    Revised below

Some can be difficult but they are made to disconnect.

you actually want to press on the ribs part behind where you pointed that lifts that Tab up and then wiggle it out sometimes there’s a little bit of suction on it

You definitely could, just hard to tell from the pic if there is room for two hands. Pressing the clasp and holding the 'ribs' with one hand might be difficult. If there is room then yes, that would be a route to go.

You would press the tab on the other end of where TS marked press.

The hole in that tab (where he marked PRESS) latches to what it's connected to and that is what is stopping it from coming out.

So push on the ridged TAB and if anything gently pry the tab with the hole in it up.

I recently had a real hard time with this type of connector changing out my bumper caps while removing the parking sensors. The one side popped off easily by pushing the back ribbed tab and pulling, the other i pried the part with the hole just ever so lightly and pulled and it came out. Sometimes there is a little bit of dirt/grit that gets in there preventing the ribbed tab from being pushed down. I tapped it a bit and blew on it and that seemed to help as well.

If this is for Banks, you may want to reach out to the guy before going any further. I got mine off yesterday, actually if you squeeze the top portion of that clip, it lifts to remove (Test if out on the one coming from your accelerator controller to see how it works). @Taco-Spike seems to have it backwards. Where he/she says "press" actually needs to lift up off of the tab, which is accomplished by squeezing (pinching) the very top of the connector.
