Never would imagine my last forever vehicle would be almost a classic, 2008 Toyota Tundra crewmax limited 5.7l V8 tonneau cover 47k miles, was too good to pass up. Looked for a truck to tow any travel trailer and not a diesel. Had Ford diesel, dodge v10, this by far ahould perform as good , with the reliability of the Toyota name. Looking perhaps for a.tuner to not gain power, but overall performance ie. Mpg... recommendations would be appreciated. Also a catalytic converter shield whether it be specifi. For cat or skid plate that does the same. Thank you for any input and so grateful to be part of this forum!

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Not much you can do about MPG's but drive conservatively. If it's lifted you can lower it back to stock, which will help. For cat shields, you can search for Valhalla on this site or go with the more expensive RCI shields. Lots of good feedback on both.

Welcome from Texas! That's a great looking low mileage Tundra! I have my 16' CrewMax setup for towing our 7k lb travel trailer. If you're towing over around 5k lbs, consider adding Sumo Springs, Roadmaster Active Suspension HD, Tow Mirrors (I prefer OEM) and upgraded shocks if your are still running stock black ones. These trucks like to squat when loaded up, especially if you're already leveled. Enjoy your new truck!

Great find!!! As long as it wasn't a salvaged vehicle or any major rust, I wouldn't have passed on it either. I bought my 2008 in Jan of 2008 and still have it. Currently, it's running good w/over 250,000 miles. I decided to purchase a 2021 PRO before the new gen took over and got lucky to find one in Nov of last year. However, I still run the 2008 daily for working my dogs, hauling, etc... I think you'll get a lot of life and service out of that "classic".

Congrats on your new truck and welcome!!!
