Let me admit that I've been Chevy guy my entire life. It's all I knew. Grew up in western Iowa, on a large farm near a tiny town. All I knew were tractors, corn, soy beans, hogs, cattle, horses, Blue Heelers, big block 454s, 1 tons, 4spds, 4:56 gears...all Chevys. After the farm ended, in 2000 my dad bought a new Tacoma SR5 TRD. He is gone but that truck still remains. 249K+ miles, no rust, no leaks, everything still works & it runs like new.
This is what convinced me to try a Toyota. My previous trucks have been Silverados & S10s. My most recent Chevy is a 2000 Silverado.
I recently purchased a 2018 Crewmax SR5 4wd Tundra. I saw it on a Ford lot while driving by on a Saturday. It was the color, generation, pkg that I wanted. I signed the papers on Monday evening after work. I absolutely LOVE this truck! It's in fantastic condition, 45K miles. Jumping ahead 18 years in technology to this Tundra has blown my mind! I have no complaints, I grin every time I look at it!
I just installed a ReadyLift 2.4" leveling kit yesterday...and my grin is bigger! I plan to get the ESP storage tray for the rear seat. I need a place for tow straps & etc. Also hope to install a camera for the front.
I look forward to the knowledge contained in this site & appreciate all the input & experience of other members.

Welcome from Texas! My first truck was a 1990 Chevrolet Silverado Single cab Stepside, when I was 16yo, back in 96'. It was an auto with the 350ci. Loved that truck! Today, we have a 1st gen Tundra (my 17yo son's), a 2nd Gen Sequoia (Mama's) and my 2.5 Gen Tundra. Glad you're enjoying your new Tundra!
