Here are a couple pictures I took last night. Both are at the same point. Just stopped and on an uphill. Just factory led headlights, then headlights with BD Pro's.

I need to see how I'll want to mount the fogs in the new bumper. I dont want to ruin the clean look so maybe have them make a custom bracket lower near the frame mounts hidden away.

 

Wow, the contrast those things add is incredible. Even beyond the range of the high beams.

 

Which bumper are you getting again? I’m sure there is a way to keep it clean and still add some lights.

yea exactly something like that. I’ll keep ya posted. I go in Thursday for the sliders then Friday for the bumper.

 

Rear chase light mounted and wired. Knocked out a few other things on his rig. Then moving to mine. Since he upgraded to the full Alcon kit no use for the fresh EBC yellows so I’ll throw them on mine. Also got a dual arb compressor kit just need to make a mount for under the seat I don’t want in the heat in the engine bay.

 

Back home after two weeks in TX. Go to get into truck. Dead. Nothing. Actually forgot I had a manual key for a minute. Going to have to call roadside assistance here later today. Fly back out tomorrow morning, no time for this crap.

Stock battery, just over a year old. What a bunch of crap.

 

That’s one hell of a welcome home turd. I know the OEM battery has issues, but one year is pretty bad

 

Tundras are notorious for going dead if you let them sit. They have some "always on" features that just drain the battery. Still inconvenient for you though.

 

1 year! Whelp guess I’ll order an odyssey. Like I need an excuse to order more stuff. Lol

 

Shitty dude, get the Costco interstate for around $100. Free replacement for 3 years, prorated up to 5 years I think?
Both of my Toyota batteries didn't make it 3 years.

 

Might just go do that and be done with it. Also going to have the wife start it a couple times over the next two weeks or I remote start it and let it run for a bit.

 

Do I just take the battery to the tire center at Costco?

 

Yep, it should be up front near the tire center.

 

The parasitic loss is baffling because Toyota shuts everything off in the cab with authority. Well, other than the garage door remote and that SHOULD be cut with the power.

 

It takes juice for that DCM to track you and sit there listening for the remote start and door lock signals…


You might look at and HKB alternator diode to push the charging voltage up a little bit if you are only charging in short spurts.

Oil change day! @NWPirate here is what mine looks like after 5K on Schaffer’s through the winter months. Dark but still has some color left.

Back in the race lab. Couldn’t stand the silver king mounts. So while we throw in the EBC pads. I prepped and used steelit black to coat them.

 

Gud gawd. That’s like when you go beyond cell range and your phone guzzles the battery trying to find a tower.

 

Disconnected the battery and hooked up the charger. Hoping enough to get it started and drive around in a few hours.

I have Bluetooth OBD, canopy light LED lit switch and the Trigger 4 plus all pulling power. Sounds like my factory battery doesn’t stand a chance for long.

 

Got it started. Going to let it idle for a bit and then see if it starts up again.

 

Made it to Goodwill and back. Parked in the driveway again. We’ll see if it starts in the morning.

 

Would be nice if the battery is fine, it was just parasitic loss...
