She is back to life!

A drunk driver rear ended my 2001 Tundra as I was about to get it painted the next day. It had a recent new motor (motor was not harmed) and my interior was pretty immaculate. I decided to have a shop rebuild by truck as it was given to me by my father. My insurance totaled it and I needed a rebuild. Here it is before and after! It was worth the wait...

Before:

- new truck bed
- new bed liner
- floating stereo w/ apple car play, apps etc.
- 20 inch rims



Future mods:

- LED light bar
- Swing toolbox
- LED lights
- LED dome lights
- fishing pool holder?

 

Hell yeas brother. She lives again.

Man, those rear seats look like torture for anything longer than a quick beer run.

Returning from beer run...

 

It had some frame damage. My mechanic had to pull the frame a bit. All is well now though.

 

haha. Yeah, it was painful being back there as a kid.

 

It was worth it on my end for sure!

 

It is a red from an Acura TLX I believe. I am very happy with it.

 

Car manufacturers should bring out the bright red more often. It really brings vehicles to life

 

It was worth the outcome for me.

 

It took some frame damage and rear axel damage. It is an 01. According to my insurance anything older than 10 years with a hit like that is usually a total loss.

@ladri if I could make a suggestion. Now that your truck looks amazing again, you should paint the black plastic on your front bumper. Mine was faded like yours and I lightly sanded it and spray painted it black. It made it look new again.

 

I will definitely be doing this on my end. Thanks for the tip.
