    Well, chevys and gmcs also had IFS like we do, but I don't know how much is similar, so it could be LBJ failure like ours.

    Let's look into this a but deeper and see. He was turning sloght left into the feet turning lane. So that right tire would be turned to the left, and if the LBJ did snap at that point, the UBJ would take all the weight and shift the upper end of the tire to the outside as the suspension would collapse and send all the weight to the UBJ.

    That's just my drunken reasoning at this point, and I'm sure I'm probably wrong, but that's my drunk physics take on it.
