    Hi.

It's not actually my tundra, it's my father's, but I fix it up for me, and then let him enjoy it.

We had the first 2007 5.7 double cab limited white on red rock interior truck that our dealer received back in 2007.

Then switched got a 2019 Double cab set in 2019.

That I've been modifying to our taste.

I'm going to take care of this tundra.

Our 2007 went to 225k miles, with only 4 oil changes, 4X oil changes in 13 years!!!
I assumed he was getting oil changes.

my dad only topped off, he never serviced anything, no spark plugs, no diff fluid, no brake flush, no coolant flush, no transmission service. Nothing done in 13 years and 225k miles.

I changed out the serpentine belt at like 140k miles.

My dad drives the speed limit and didn't beat on the truck. He wasn't abusing it, but he was abusing it with no servicing of any sort.

And with all that neglect, it ran perfect. It never once broke down, or left him or me stranded.

    It had a perfect record.

I serviced every thing before we sold it. The oil filter was a greasy tissue ball , it was a disgusting.

The diff fluid was still kind of clean.
I want to say the neglected/no service 2007 shifted just as good as our new 2019.

Even with all the neglect, the old one felt more powerful than our new one.

My dad kept saying they made the motors better back then that they used to be more powerful.

I had to explain to him it's the same engine and transmission, It's got a a lazier throttle.
Fixed that with the pedal commander.

Knowing he mistreated the last one by never servicing it, I'm confident this one will last forever with proper maintenance.

Oh, and the old one sold for $13k on Craigslist, within minutes.

If it was a domestic truck, I don't think any thing would have worked the way it did with the tundra.

A domestic truck would have broke with the neglect, and then brought no money at the end.

The trucks a sr5. But I've mixed and matched parts from limited, platinum, 1794, and TRD Pro

    It's made for me and my dad to enjoy.20220130_170323.jpg 20200121_111635.jpg 20220130_171030.jpg 20220121_133533.jpg 20220320_154701.jpg 20220309_121635.jpg

Welcome from OKC! The PC can fail at a really bad time. I suggest doing some research on it. Check out Banks pedal monster if you need safe quicker response.

    Will look into it.

But I did tell my dad that the pedal commander is 3rd party, so it could fail.

And that if he's driving and something goes wonky with the throttle. To pull over, and unplug it, if it came to that.

Did you have one that failed on you? A pedal commander

BTW. MY DAD LOVES THE CHROME.

I know most hate the chrome. The vibe we are going for is "OLDER MAN CONTRACTOR TRUCK"

He loves it, I'm ok with whatever he wants.

I have not, but there are cases where they failed as people were merging into high speed traffic and lost all throttle. Not a good thing IMO!

    Thanks brother.

I know the tundra community likes hearing tundra battle stories.

Battles the tundra didn't want to fight, but still came out victorious.

Welcome and greetings from Minnesota. All you needed to do was press and hold the skid control to turn it off, then press it again for 3 seconds: Beast Mode.
