I'm going to be replacing the factory unit with most likely a pioneer headunit. I really like the larger screens but heard of some of them vibrating. Does anyone know if there is a dash kit that accepts larger screens to fit flush IN the dash like a normal 6.8 inch screen would?

yea see I like the in-dash, but would really like one of those 9 inch "floating" displays (although I'd like to have that fit in the dash

Which HU is that? I’ve been looking at the larger options as well, but like the OEM look of this one.

I picked up the Pioneer 1770NEX recently but sent it back because it kept rebooting randomly on me. I did the whole harness and everything through Crutchfield - who by the way was awesome with trying to help me troubleshoot... So now I'm looking at a different unit. I thought it was android compatibility but then when I didn't have anything plugged in it still rebooted. Its a new model so there was no firmware update.

I don't use a floating screen headunit because it seems like a dust catch but I have seen where some guys have used foam pad placed between the dash and the screen to dampen any vibration. Also, check out this page for some good info: https://www.autoharnesshouse.com/mycar.html

They have some plug and play wiring for Pioneer that may help too.
