Just take a day off work, rent a basic white car, put on a yellow vest, hat, tinted safety glasses and take out a folding ladder and two cans of yellow spray paint. Proceed to take down and paint the "problem", hang it back at its new height. Load up and clean up.

Wind chimes? You must have missed the fact it will have LEDs...Who needs wind chimes when you have light that doesn't appear yellowish?

I appreciate the sense of humor in this post. My only thing was that this is a daily circus trick just to park. Simplest thing was to lower the truck by an inch and call it a day (Forever fix)

Either way, your truck, your life and I'm happy you got it figured out.

Looks great from my house.

I will buy one if you paint it, add LEDs and install a tow hook. Do you take PayPal Thugs and Enemies? Thanks.

A custom DIY roof rack could work. Call Spyder and order his no drill mounts, build up from there to just the ideal height. You gain a rack and solve the problem. Just might need to step the rack height down maybe 1.5-2" just ahead of the fin to allow clearance for overhead beams and pipes when your truck is on sloping areas of the garage.

Yep, thanks for posting, not sure yet if my cab-over popup camper will hit the original 'shark fin', but nice to know that there are alternatives...

Get two circular saws. Mount them to your roof upside down near the front windshield. Put some carbide blades on them. Get a good power converter to plug them into. Them get a low profile roof rack basket to catch the severed metal. You'll chop anything in your path out of the way well before the fin hits. The beauty is, you'll be creating new jobs as you drive.

Shoot I say go all in, quit the daily grind, open a full service off-road shop and lift it 10-12" for advertising out front!

Haven't had occasion to test the fin protector 2000 prototype yet as the garage is still under construction and have been able to park in our building's garage that has much higher clearances, well over 8 feet everywhere. Going to look like a monkey f#@king a football the first time I hope out, throw that monstrosity up there, drive through and jump out to remove it. I've certainly done dumber things for less important reasons though, so away we go.

In conclusion, after the construction was completed, the original perp, the bastard of a yellow height warning bar, was relocated, slightly off center allowing it to pass right by the antenna.
I can neither confirm nor deny any involvement in this odd placement...
