I have mine in a nicely packed and very heavy box waiting for me. @alb1k join the party.

    Reasons to consider these:

    1. Improve caster
    2. Fit larger tires (moves the mount 1" forward so provided bumper clearance exists you have more space from the cab)
    3. Beefier than stock
    4. Good way to spend money

I'll lock a post here and edit it with what I have so far.

    Description
Stock Length LCA for Tundra (00-06) and Sequoia (00-07). You spoke and we listened! We’ve designed a Full fabricated stock length LCA for optimal strength and ground clearance. With these LCAs we were able to set the lower ball joint forward 1″. This will allow you to fit a bigger tire and will gain 2-3 degrees of caster.

All plates are CNC laser cut and CNC bent out of 3/16” steel. Interlocking ribs have been added to the strength of our boxed design.

These Tundra Stock Length Lower Control Arms (LCA) will come standard with threads for the factory front bump stop and have an integrated strike pad for an air bump. The LCAs come standard with a matte black powder coated finish.

Sway bar mounts come standard on the LCA. Secondary shock mounts are not available.

Pair these LCAs with our Tundra/Sequoia Mid-Travel Kit for a bullet proof setup!

This kit looses the function of the factory steering stops.

    Specs
    • Stock length
    • Lower Ball Joint pushed forward 1″
    • Recommended 33″ (35″ tire can fit, but needs modification)
    • 2-3 degrees of caster gained
    • CNC laser cut and CNC bent
    • 3/16″ cold roll steel
    • Boxed design for superior strength
    • MIG welded
    • Made in the U.S.A.
    Application
    • 2000-2003 Toyota Tundra 2WD and 4WD
    • 2004-2006 Toyota Tundra 2WD and 4WD
    • 2000-2007 Toyota Sequoia 2WD and 4WD
    • **Note: Please specify your year truck when ordering**
    Variations
Small Lower Ball Joint: 00-02 Tundra Access Cab, 00-03 Sequoia (Square bolt pattern)

Big Lower Ball Joint: 04-07 Sequoia, 03-06 Tundra (Rectangle bolt pattern)

    Please call us for clarification.

    Stock Length LCA kit Includes
    • Stock length LCA (driver and passenger)
    • Urethane Bushings
    • Center Sleeves
    • Powder coated semi-gloss black.

    First impressions:

    1. Very well built but I don't know how to re-grease them without disassembling and getting an alignment.
    2. No steering stops - turning radius gets a tad smaller but you may want to use caution at full lock, or just don't jam them into full lock when avoidable.
    3. I still can't determine if I lost any ride height. My suspension really likes to sit at different heights. For instance, I just jacked up the front right to look at droop, let the truck down fast and then bounced on the bumper, and for the moment it's sitting 1.5" taller in that corner. Update: I spoke with Solo today and they assured me the distance from the top of the shock tower to the lower shock mount on the arm is identical to OEM.
    4. There may be a noticeable firmness with the poly bushings over OEM. Doesn't seem significant. Update: insignificant. Might ride better.
    5. I farmed my alignment marks OR these will throw you so far off it will scare you at first.
    6. They definitely move the wheels forward as advertised and will allow you to fit a bigger tire. I can't say what size.
    7. Solo said 05-06 DC's may need some fender flare trimming for those big tires.

@alb1k did you happen to snap a pic of the Solo arms next to the oem’s for reference?

I should have taken more comparison pics, but after my epic failure to get the lower BJ loose in short order, I was getting pissed. The only thing I'm still looking at is bump stops and coilover height/extension. Everything else except the re-grease thing is set for me.

It says 35's need modification on their website.. What other benefit do these have over stock other than being able to run a bigger tire? Will the bushings last longer? Uses stock ball joints?

Very expensive part.. Currently lifted and running steel bumpers on 32.7ish inch tires.

@alb1k My solo UCA’s don’t have a grease zerk fitting and I’ve been wanting to install them. Is there a place where you can install a zerk fitting in the LCA?

The bushings are splined with baby grooves and there is a gap between them in the arm. So you can tap zerks in that middle spot. I just don't know if you can pump grease in there without loosening the cam bolts.

A few other benefits, but longer lasting bushings isn't a reason to get them if it's true. I'm pretty sure OEM is good for over 100K. They use OEM ball joints.

These are Camburg but same principle. The part im holding is the flange that faces outside and is held in by big washers and nut or bolt head.
    20220330_075959.jpg

The bushings have little grooves in the hole where the brass sleeves are inserted. That way if you pump grease into the zerk fitting, the grease fills the space on the arm where the bushings are and leaks out through the grooves to lube the sleeve.

You have to loosen the bolts to do this, otherwise the grease has nowhere to go, and if you're like me and think "nah, it will work" you'll also be like me and watch your grease gun fitting pop off and dump grease all over your shoes.

I'm guessing it's because they move the tire 1 inch forward and also add 2-3 degrees caster so it kicks the tire out from the bottom of the cab more as well. This is all speculative until somebody actually puts 35's on with these.

Also, I wonder if the later 1st gens have more tire clearance. I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos lately of people fitting 35's on a sequoia and it seems like the later years didn't have to cut as much, some didn't have to cut at all, just annihilate the pinch weld.

I think the Sequoia has a different shape on the inner wheel well. Double can Tundra might as well.

And yes, pushing the tire forward an inch gives a bit more clearance from that pinch weld area. In theory if you can stuff a 33" without hitting the body, then getting an inch forward should allow a 35" (of the same tire width) because a tire with another 2" of diameter is only 1" bigger in radius. We are all depending on @Casper421 at this point.

    GO @Casper421 !

    I'm betting
    1. 33 no problem
    2. 34 some work
    3. 35 getting serious.

I think the main problem will be the width of a 35. I haven't seen anything but 35x12.5 for 16 wheels. 35x10.5 exists for 17 wheels, those I think would fit with a bit of pinch weld massaging. The 12.5 width will be really interesting to see, I believe thats what Casper has.

I'm so tempted to buy these arms but then I would have to buy 17s and 35s and that's a LOT of money for a bit of tire.

Nice firm poly bushings also have another benefit.... less wheel alignments. Soft OEM rubber bushings easily get knocked out of position after a wheeling trip. I haven't had to do an alignment, after wheeling, since installing my TC LCA.

Are the shock mounts on the Solos farther away than OEM? Or either farther inboard or outboard? I feel like they have to be but I wonder if Solo has anything to say about that.

My post is pretty pointless other than I'm really excited about these wheels! I grabbed a set of 4 from an older FJ Cruiser for $140 and I'm painting them to look like this.

    black_painted_fj_cruiser_wheel_737f76d5e186dc7084c3634b1feef6db4115cc32.jpg

I found a set of 255/75/17 duratracs with 13/32nds tread and manufactured in 2020 for $300.
