Hey everyone. Probably a dumb question but what is this?/ where does it go exactly? How’s it supposed to be attached? I’m guessing it’s an exhaust heat shield right?

I’ve been hearing something rattling around lately and took a peek quick today. I could slide it right out if I wanted to. It’s just hanging out all loose. Quick snapped a crappy pic ha.

    Appreciate any help.

It's a heat shield. When mine did that, I replaced all of them.

Yup, heat shield no longer bolted in place.

    Some.
Heat shield. You can put it back up using fender washers with the OE hardware.

Thanks for the help guys. I assume I’m good to drive a few days without it?

We use the parts that fall off to pay for the parts we bolt on

I wouldn't worry about it. Every vehicle I've owned is missing one or more of these and I've never replaced one. I do like the fender washer trick if the heat shield is not too far gone.
