First oil change

    5 quarts of what?
    Walmart has mobil 1 for 30 bucks here The filter is an additional 6 bucks....
    I like the mobil 1 filters, but may switch back to Walmart oil changes then if they will ship it to my house.

    It can be $6 cheaper than what your paying at the auto parts store. I buy 2 5qt. Jugs when I go and pay less than $5 a quart for full synthetic oil.

    That definitely changes my belief on doing the oil bundle stuff.
    They used to only have one good filter.. that was expensive. With toyota filters, I will go back with walmart.

    The oil loss I experienced is similar to yours. I also experienced blue smoke on start up a few times. It lead me to research about it and here is a video. My use falls under the severe use parameters anyway so I switched to 5000 mile changes.
