Looking for some help or input. Ordered new morimoto 4banger hxb yellow wide foglights. Got them installed on the truck and they don't work. Unhooked them and plugged originals in and they still work. All the connections for the harness are tight and clicked together. I also have the morimoto xb headlights. Thanks in advance.

How are they wired? When I got my lp4 the Baja instructions were wrong and I had to try to positive lead in different locations until they fired on. Not really sure how Morimoto wires there lights but my guess is the polarity is reversed

They come with an adapter harness for each side supposed to just be plug and play.

Hard to tell from the picture but I think your wires are crossed

That shows the harness better I don't believe the wires are crossed I think it was just a twist in the dongle

So update I flipped the connection from factory harness to the adapter harness around and plugged it and the light worked but the connector doesn't click together this way... could morimotot have put the connections on the wrong way?

That’s normal. I just saw this, but it’s actually normal that they might not click.

Glad I figured it out but that's absurd these foglights were almost $600 and the harnesses are backwards and don't work unless I fix them or wait until I can get ahold of morimoto and see if they send replacements

I don't think that's normal. The right "wrong" way they click together and are secure the wrong "right" way the harness is barley together but the lights on. If you jiggle it the connection will come apart. It's definitely supposed to click.

Did they send spare pins or connectors? It was just a matter of depinning, flipping the wire and repinning the connectors. One of my squadrons was like this and also my lp4s didn’t match the schematic bd provided

Is it “correct”? Of course it’s not. Is it standard for many manufacturers? Yes. Don’t ask me why, but it is a common configuration.

After paying $600 for fog lights, they should show up at your place tomorrow with shrimp cocktail & mimosas for you and the wifey while they fix it up right!:thumbsup:

They didnt send any spares and repinning the connections is no problem. I'll get to it at work tonight to keep me busy. It really shouldnt be advertised as plug and play if it isnt especially for that price point. Appreciate the help yall.
