How worried should I be about color matching the camper shell with "Blueprint" color.

I'm ordering a Platinum and narrowing it down to the Blueprint color. It's uniqueness and how it appears to change in certain light, and the fact that caps are a different material than the truck (fiberglass instead of metal) has me worried about cap manufactures being able to get the color right.

It would really bother me having the cap not match the truck in a color like that. Any experience with colors like these?

It’s not a new colour so I reckon there is paint for it out there. As for it coming painted from a top manufacturer, I guess it will depend on the popularity of the colour on the truck going forward.

 

I doubt you'll be able to order from any manufacturer directly with the Blueprint color, but I could be wrong. As long as your bed shell isn't made of some odd material...(most brands are fiberglass, which is fine)...then any local paint shop can paint match the shell.

In short, I wouldn't worry about it...unless your opposed to having the paint done by a 3rd party for some reason. Then just go the expensive route and have a Toyota Body shop do the paint matching.
