Just bought a very well taken care of 05' tundra limited. I'm not a huge fan of the faux wood trim that's currently in there. Its in great condition, but I'm not a fan of the look. I was going to wrap it in black vinyl or spray it back, but thought I'd ask here if anyone is interested in trading?

Im thinking we could just ship them to each other, or meet up - Im in NC on the coast. Let me know, thanks!

Why not sell what you have and just spray or wrap the "stock" SR5 pieces? Readily available in the junk yards.

I mean, if you're interested, I've still got my black center console but you'd need to do the tedious work of swapping it over.

You need to be aware of a couple of things:
The HVAC controls are special for each vehicle and not really interchangable
The center dash controls have several varieties depending on whether you've got 4WD, VSC or no VSC, and different years used different button layouts
The door controls will vary depending on your cab type, whether it's double, access or regular
There are probably other things I'm forgetting and someone can correct me on.
Depending on which center console you have, the cup holder may be different

Really, you may hate it, but as someone who did the swap in their '06 from black to wood, and bought the all new parts and swapped my controls over, man ... that's some pain-in-the-ass level shit right there.

If you have an access cab with buckets, and your center console is the same as mine, I have the cupholder you'll need. If yours is 4WD with no VSC, I can kick you my old black face for the center dash piece in black from my truck when it had like 67-68k miles, in great shape.

Oh wow I had no idea how involved it would be. Thank you both for all of the information. its sounding like it would be easier to just sand and spray my current trim instead of trying to retrofit some elses trim

If your paint skills are up to it, and you use a quality interior plastics-specific paint, with a few coats of satin-finish clear over it, it doesn't cost you anything but supplies, and time. Failure to properly prep and paint will leave you with some nasty looking stuff.

Others may disagree. I dunno. But for the stuff that's easy to get your hands on that have no technical requirements, they're plug-and-play, like the cupholder and the door control inserts, buying those separately are cheap enough.

Can you give us a pic of your truck from the rear seat (if it has one) so we can see what colors you've got, and what center console you've got? Is it a double cab, access cab, or regular cab?
