True, it will take me a few weeks to figure out all that it has to offer....I threw on the door guards and running boards (ridiculous that the dealer wanted to charge over 5+ hours of labor), in about 45 minutes

 

What dealership? Waiting for our Limited Crewmax in Lunar Rock fro dealershipin Sudbury, now delayed, would be interested in seeing photos of your additions.

 

I was going to ask the same thing. I was hoping that the lunar rock option would be there. I’m working with my dealership parts person to find out if we can actually get the handles in.

Yup! The sr5 only has chrome badges. Blacking out the truck gonna be easy.

 

Yup, just the TUNDRA, SR5 and 4x4 are chrome....should be easy to black those out

 

Saw a magnetic grey Limited with paper tags in the wild today. Kind of weird driving through the Bucees parking lot and not being the only 3rd Gen. Pretty sure he was shocked when he realized I was behind him lol.

 

Wow! Love that setup. Thanks for the pictures and explanation. So does everything run off your stock battery or did you setup a second battery for auxiliary purposes?

 

I will likely do the starter battery. On my previous build I ended up going with an AGM battery. They have more draw minutes available, you can deplete them to 50% and it will bounce back just fine, and it is cheaper and lighter than a dual battery set up. But again I don’t normally sit for more than one or two days at one location. When I lead groups out I am usually moving every day with 50 to 100 miles in between each camp location.

New to Toyota, but so far so good. This replaced a GMC Sierra Denali diesel. And I must admit that I enjoy driving the Toyota much more. It actually surprised me on how well it managed towing my 26' trailer up over the Rockies.

 

Thanks, it's 4WD. I rarely use it, but I just can't buy a 2WD truck.

When I bought my Tundra on Friday the finance guy told me I was lucky as production is slowing down due to parts. Today I just got this text from another dealership, has anyone else heard about this?
