Hey Guys, I just picked up a leer shell yesterday and after driving with the shell on the bed I've come to realize its definitely time to replace the rear leaf's and shocks. I do a bit of towing here and there so I'm thinking of looking towards getting some heavier leaf's any ideas?

check out Deever, Alcan, Dobinsons, OME. Or if you want to keep a lighter spring for better ride, replace with factory leafs and then add RAS to address hauling/towing loads and squat

Yep, ^ this covers about every option. If you plan to carry a bunch of gear in the bed under that shell, it’s worth getting your truck weighed before you call Deaver or Alcan, because they could make springs that meet your specific load requirements.

Air bags are another option, cheaper, easier and you can leave things soft when not carrying a load.

I just got min installed the other day. ( only had em 4 months. They definitely ride better than the original springs I had. And 1.5 was spot on for me. I had about 600 lbs I. The bed the other day , and I lost about an inch, and I could still stuff my tires way up in the fender well. Ie decent axle flex ( drove one side in the front on a ramp, and the other side at the rear.). I might actually tear my old springs apart and use the bottom leaf as an add a leaf, and see what that does

Why are you wanting to add a leaf?

Possibly to raise the rear some more. I’ve got new front struts and coils on the way, to accommodate my bumper, winch and sliders. We’ll see once i get it all installed and let the dust settle
