    Anyone ever see this happen? Passed by a truck going the opposite way going highway speeds. Came off and hit the windshield and cracked it.

    Maybe the bug deflector put too much pressure on some of the clips of that piece?

    Yeah my last truck would do the same thing, but it never actually flew off. Just popped the pressure clips loose across the middle.

    Were you running a bug deflector also? That was my first thought, that the bug deflector was the culprit.

    No I wasn’t, but that may be what caused it to fall the rest of the way off. There are two (or three) bolts on the underside of the hood bulge that keep it from coming completely off. Have your buddy check and see if maybe those were left off when the bugflector went on.

    All the hardware is still in place on the truck.

    My 18 pops the clips from time to time also, and if I grab the bulge to close the hood the clips pop out
