NEW MEMBER here with a 2006 Tundra regular cab 4WD with 138k miles and recently added 265/70/17 BFG KO2s. I'm in the marine repair business and haul boats up to 7000lbs short distances with the truck. I'm hoping to upgrade the suspension for work towing and a little off roading/beach driving.

I'm leaning towards a kit from Camburg (https://camburg.com/shop/suspension...yota-tundra-00-bilstein-6112-performance-kit/) which includes Bilstein 6112 front coilovers, Camburg uniball UCA and Bilstein 5100 rear shocks. I've already ordered Toyota OEM lower ball joints which I've read have a reputation of failing. Should I buy new "top hats" for the coilovers if I'm going through the trouble?

I'm interested in the "add-a-leaf" kits but am also looking at the Deaver G57 leaf springs. I don't know much about air bags, but am willing to look into that for heavy towing if thats a good option.

Is there anything I'm missing? Thanks a lot for any suggestions!

Think your plan is good. I would skip the add a leaf however. If you leafs are still good check out RAS (activesuspension) will ride so much better than add a leaf and helps with squat from loads/towing.

Yep, RAS is your best option in my opinion. I tow daily trailers and RAS makes your ride smoother, almost no sag towing 8000 lb trailer and even driving empty you notice the much more improved ride. Its easy to install. There are great videos and the installation guide in your RAS package is easy to follow. Depending on the age of your shocks and how well they RE you don't need to replace them. If you do look into Eibach Shocks.

This is 10k lbs sitting dead level. I no longer own a tundra because my weights started to far exceed the 1/2 ton market but RAS are awesome23FB0FB4-DBC6-4A66-8A93-AE99B2E8E364.jpg
