My insurance adjuster hollered at me and asked what I wanted to do with the bike. I said total it. The loss department(or whatever it's called) sent me an email yesterday saying they're gonna pay out $6200 for the bike. I bought it for $5000 a year ago. Finally something I can put in the W column.

Oh, and I finally got my Forman position. I was supposed to get a van since I requested one, but it got wrecked the week before I was supposed to get it. So I got a phone and laptop, but no vehicle yet. I don't wanna drive a dodge, I want a van. So I'm still taking my truck to work. Fuck it.

I looked up the 6th ratio for the a760.

Holy shit that's a tall gear.

Top gear in the a750 is .716.
Top gear in the a760 is .586.

For those of you who aren't interested in doing the math:

    3.91 rear end
    A750 on 31s at 2k rpm: 65.91mph
    A760 on 31s at 2k rpm: 80.53mph

    A750 on 33s at 2k rpm: 70.16mph
    A760 on 33s at 2k rpm: 85.73mph

    A750 on 35s at 2k rpm: 74.42mph
    A760 on 35s at 2k rpm: 90.93mph

    4.56 rear end
    A750 on 31s at 2k rpm: 56.52mph
    A760 on 31s at 2k rpm: 69.05mph

    A750 on 33s at 2k rpm: 60.16mph
    A760 on 33s at 2k rpm: 73.51mph

    A750 on 35s at 2k rpm: 63.81mph
    A760 on 35s at 2k rpm: 77.96mph

    4.88 rear end
    A750 on 31s at 2k rpm: 52.81mph
    A760 on 31s at 2k rpm: 64.53mph

    A750 on 33s at 2k rpm: 56.22mph
    A760 on 33s at 2k rpm: 68.69mph

    A750 on 35s at 2k rpm: 59.62mph

Same exact thing happened to my buddy in 2020. He got like $2500 more than he paid for his stolen bike. They recovered it in similar shape as yours.

    Tundra In The Snow?

I dunno, while the van sitch sounds shitty the rest sounds like another "W" column addition.

OEM really the only good option? I know some got a Detroit Axle unit with lifetime warranty off eBay. OEM racks are so expensive.

OEM lasted me 160,000 miles and didn't leave me stranded when it failed I guess, that's why it's my first option. I'll take a reman OEM in the sub $500 range that will still have a 12 month warranty.

I never met mine but I got a lot of emails from his wife since he had the same name as me. I didn't have the heart to tell her though since a lot of the emails were personal and embarrassing.

I thought by ignoring it, it would make them go away but it did not.
