3" OME lift w/ UCAs. ARE overland shell w/ ARE roof rack. 34" Falken Wildpeaks. ARB awning. Road shower. Wilco Offroad Hitchgate Solo High Clearance. LED lighting upgrades. Lockerdown console safe. Weathertech floormats. Duluth deluxe rear seat cover to go under the offroad approved car seats.... :P
I just stopped pushing Tow/Haul every time I got in. The extra 1-2 mpg should cover me for a bit. But either way, company gas card and fleet vehicle ftw. Only drive the tundra to work once or twice a week, when I want my 83 mile round trip commute to be less boring... I am going to replace my fleet vehicle with a hybrid tundra soon though, in anticipation of $10 gas... I like to enjoy my drive, and AWD electrics don't have the range I need yet.

    Lol... You're missing out.

Let's see if you can get a 94" long credenza in your 5.5' bed with the tailgate up. The Xb can, and did.

This one belongs to my daughter. I already told her I want it when she's ready to sell it.

I use my Truck for weekends so the price of gas doesn’t really affect my utilization.

    My price is $3.50/gallon.

Sold my ‘21 in October because I didn’t like paying for the gas. At $500 a month, I found myself not enjoying driving anymore, so I sold my TRD Pro. I now only have a bike to commute to work and I’m debating between waiting for my Rivian to get here in October-December, or getting the new hybrid Tundra. I’m hoping it’s efficient enough to not stress about how much driving is costing me.

Well if $3.50 was your threshold at the V8 MPGs, you won't like the new hybrid tundra any better when we are in double digit gas prices. You should wait for your Rivian.

I'm saving money by quitting smoking. At $8 a pack (per day, sometimes a pack and a half) now on average I am spending more money on cigarettes than gas. I started the V.A. program. Zero day is in a few days. My wife doesn't smoke, so she is happy about it. Gas prices wouldn't even affect me if I didn't also have the smoking habit to add to it. Plus I dont smoke in the House or vehicles and we are getting ready in a few weeks to pull the 32RL on a 1600 mile vacation. My gas mileage usually falls to about 8 mpg average. 760 pound tongue weight but 6700 pounds dry through the mountains eats up the gas. Quitting smoking will pay for all the gas on my vacation. Not to mention that positive health side effect.

We hit average $3.97 here this morning with our two closest stations at $3.99.9. I don't have a threshold on gas to switch vehicles, I like driving. But I definitely have a threshold on smoking and that was reached, so that will pay for the gas. Ill drive my Crewmax without concern for gas prices.

I am getting ready to get the Baby Sprinter back in action around town here again.
I get about 27-30 mpg though its Diesel and I can carry an insane amount of crap in there too!

I will still drive the Tundra on out of town jobs unless I can take the Element but the Sprinter just makes more sense for work as long as I can get it into garages at the various places that I need to go?
Doubtful of course for the job I am on right now?

Wait... you're making a healthy choice and adjusting your budget to accommodate your needs over wants/luxuries?:eek2: Is that even allowed these days? Aren't you just supposed to be out there howling that it's owed to you and you should get everything for free?

That is awesome, man! Congrats on the decision and I hope you succeed with quitting.

Never been happier to be telecommuting. It would cost me 2+ gallons a day to commute plus parking...nevermind wear and tear. I've put less than a 1000 miles on the truck in 2 months.

The first gen Scion xB is a fantastic vehicle. I drove the absolute piss out of my ‘06 for 216k miles and had no issues except that stupid “garnish” on the rear lift gate broke. Toyota maintains it is NOT a handle and therefore can not be replaced under warranty for being used as such. Never mind the fact that there is no other way to lift the lift gate than by grabbing it by the garnish and pulling up. But I digress.

Anyway, gave my ‘06 to a friend who is still driving it. He’s closing in on 300k. Indestructible little car.

Well I know one thing, in the coming months peep’s gonna be trading in their Hellcats, Ram TRX’s , ETC.. for huge losses and you’ll be able to find deals if it’s anything like it was when gas went up in 08..
I plan to buy a sweet gas guzzling performance car! And or trading the tundra for a TRX haha

I only have my Tundra and I'm not getting rid of it. Fortunately my commute is 14 miles round trip so I only have to gas up every 2 weeks. I could push it to 3 weeks if I need to, but that just means more time at the pump. I don't like to go less than half a tank.

I'm watching prices on a Challenger right now..... if fuel hits double digits I might be able to get a screamin' deal.

I Sh$& you not, if you wait for just a bit you WILL 100% snag a deal. I remember in 08-09 dealers were giving gas guzzlers away! No one would buy them unless it was a crazy deal.. Now with the whole car shortage thing it might not be as good but most people with these cars won’t be able to afford them now. I bet you’ll be able to get a 16-19 hellcat for 30-35k in a few months.

No interest in a hellcat, and I don't buy used, but I would love a solid deal on a 5.7 RT no cylinder deactivation with a 6 speed.

    Blown Engine.....
I got real lucky when I ordered a hybrid Maverick 9 months ago. It got to me last Monday. Went 550 miles on the first tank. Filled it up with No-Ethanol 87 at $4.22/gal and it cost me $55. I don't know what I'm going to do with the Tundra. Do I fix the engine or sell it as-is for cheap?

Sweet! What engine and trim did you get? I’ve got a Hybrid SE Nightshade on the way. Wanted an LE but those have been getting snapped up quick for months. I got tired of waiting and said give me the SE. I’ve been needing a commuter car for a while, hate putting all the city mileage on my Tundra which I plan to keep forever.

Congrats on yours. I was going with the TRD but the bells and whistles over powered by the XSE model. It has the V6. Clestrial silver all blacked out. Roof , Wheels and mirrors. Ect. I will be driving this most of the time to work. My dealership deals with other dealerships they traded anew tundra to get mine.

Gas above $3.50 made me switch. Picked up a beater civic and calculated my break even was 18 months (repairs excluded).
