How much time do you have? I'm curious to see how you make out. I think there's a big range on what a person is willing to pay on a used vehicle.

So I am pretty particular what I want but ideally I wanted a limited package with the trd off road crewmax in silver. There are not many of those around with low mileage from what I’ve seen unless I want to fly halfway across the country or pay 54 to 56k for a older generation truck. 41.9k out the door includes Maryland’s 6 percent tax so really I do think this deal isn’t too bad from what I have seen out there on autotrader, cargurus, and cars.com. I think I was just thrown off by the back to back auctions on the carfax and the 71k mileage (was 68k but they indicated their parts department was using the truck while it sat unsold but who knows if that’s true) and having never bought used.

My other thought was to go newer with a 2020-2021 sr5 crewmax trd in silver. Seems I can get a lower miles truck under 25k for around 46k and still get a good bang for the bucks on my truck. Then I could add some katzins or clazzio leather heated seats and a few random upgrades to try and get on par with a limited. Not sure how cost effective this will turn out but just starting to dive into this idea lol.

Gas is going to keep going up up and away. We live in a knee jerk society so for sure our trucks will get dumped sooner or later.

Is that based on asking prices or actual sold prices?

Yeah there's still a tonne of asking prices that are way too high which brings the "market price" average up.
