steel vs aluminum t slot mounts for bed rail which is better?

    I ordered the steel version since i thought the treads will hold up better with us.

    I was going to DIY powder coat them to help with rust.

    Going to be used to hold shovel and axe mount.

    Shouldn’t really matter. Long as they hold what needs to be held on your bed rails. You can spray it with rustoleum if you’re worried, but I’m sure either or will hold up just fine.

    You could also zinc plate them. It’s actually a fun process, and you can put a kit together for less than $20.

    Zinc will hold up for a long time and won’t scratch like paint.
