Sucks to see. Considering how it landed that cab held up well.

Unfortunately I live nowhere close. However, if I find out what scrap yard it’s going to I would be more than happy to tell you guys… Might honestly be worth the drive for some of you…

Are you anywhere near north Georgia? If I could get it for cheap I'd push the roof back up into a reasonable shape, do some massaging to the doors, a couple of lights, a windshield plus a flat bed and I'd have a great ranch/farm truck.
Or if the cab is really in too bad of shape I do a jeep style mod. Cut off the top, fab up a windshield frame, simple roll cage in case there's a round two, replace all carpet with bed liner add the flatbed and it would still be an awesome ranch/farm truck. Assuming the frame and drive drain is still good and it's just major body damage.
Unfortunately my toy/project budget is only about $2k and I'm pretty sure the insurance buyout would be more than that.

Please do. The frame looks like it wasn't damaged and I could use a replacement although I'm not sure if an 04 AC would fit an 02 AC.

I’m located around Baltimore, MD. That being said, I don’t know what scrapyard the insurance company would get it towed to, as I’m not really familiar with any scrapyards around me. Ended up filing a claim with insurance, since I feel like they’d give me a big chunk of money since the truck was in such good of shape. I think I’m probably going to start looking for some gen 2 Taco’s now, probably between years 05-13. Might want to try something new, because part of me feels like trying to replicate my old truck will make me miss it even more, plus, I wouldn’t find any replacement tundra anywhere near as nice as the one I had. I feel like it would be kind of a gamble since they’re getting to be pretty old now. I got my truck from a family member that couldn’t drive anymore, after he had eventually passed away. Kinda knew what I was getting into, since I had pretty much every maintenance record that came with the truck, and I knew it was very well taken care of.

This is important...gather all the maintenance records and receipts for everything you can. The last time I totaled one of my cars the Ins. Co. made this ridiculously low settlement offer based on KBB. I told them BS, and started to inundate them with paper, making the case that my car was well loved and well maintained. It took ~ 6 weeks, but ultimately I settled for more $ than I paid for the car! It's a battle...steel yourself and go to war!!

Among my first cars was a '72 BMW 2002, (in 1978) I replaced a huge percentage of it's parts from a dealer and had 7k in receipts. A drunk driver hit me on the freeway and totaled it, I got every Penney.

Glad you're OK. But also would like to have one of your wheels as a spare. Something tells me you don't live near enough to get it to me w/o shipping though.

Hey all. Just thought I would give you all an update on the whole situation. Insurance paid out around 15k for my truck, which I think is a very reasonable offer, given the age, mileage, and condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. Also to note, I may have mentioned that the truck was supposed to go into the shop to get some body work done, since someone hit me a few months back. Anyways, I got the money from their insurance which was supposed to be for fixing the truck. So to be honest, losing the truck really does suck and I'm still sort of upset/annoyed it happened, but at least I've got a good starting point to look for new trucks. Currently, I'm looking into newer 2nd to 3rd gen tacos, since I feel like they are more comparable in size to first gen tundras, which honestly I think are the perfect size for a truck. Plus, I think the newer tacos might fit my needs better. Time will tell. I will let you know when I find anything!
