Has anyone else put larger tires on their truck that also has AVS (adaptive variable suspension). If so, how was the ride after putting them on? I put Toyo AT2 295/60 on the stock rims and the ride is not good. Truck seems to wander, it is a way rougher ride and the rear seems to bottom out (more) over bumps and dips on the road. I've went through 2 sets of AT2 and 1 set of AT3 on my 2014 Tundra so I'm very familiar and happy with Toyo tires but probably taking these back and putting the stock tires back on for now. Very disappointing...

Could be a simple as moving from the stock standard load tires to LT tires, and probably E load at that. E load tires do stiffen the ride considerably.
When I moved from the stock 32inch tires, standard load to 33.4 inch E load tires it almost felt like a installed a firmer suspension. But no other changes and stock truck. It was just those E load tires and generally if you are installing larger tires on a tundra, they are usually E load.

one more, what pressure were you running in the new tires? Too much psi will have it riding like a wagon cart, so check on that.

They are E load as has the last 3 sets I ran on my old Tundra. Just a lot rougher of a ride on the 2022. Discount tire set them at 40 psi.

Were you ever able to get this resolved? Curious as to what your solution was. I have a platinum on order with AVS arriving around the 15th of March. Thanks!

As he is ghosting us, I can offer I have 34’s (Firestone XT) going on next Wed (originally Pirellis delayed until at least April 29 or more). I am also pulling a 6k trailer with them on a day or so later, so will be interesting to see how it rides and AVS when hooking up weight distribution hitch and towing (though I know it should be neutral height and set on manual only when towing.)
Curious how ride empty, loaded and how it tows.

    It's good
I wish I could give you a comparison as these are my first E rated - But I love my X/Ts. I run them around 36psi empty

I ended up switching to the same size Nitto Recon Grapplers and they are much better. I believe it was just a bad set of tires.
