RCD 6” lift, SPC UCA, 20” Gear Wheels (big block) 33/12.50/20R Artturo XT
Owner of a 01 access cab and currently has 165,xxx miles & has a RCD 6” lift with 35’s on 20’s but bout to switch them to 17’s on 35’s. Also paired them with SPC UCA with new oem lower control and to stop them big ole 35’s… got PowerStop z36 brakes. My question is, does any one in the group have an RCD lift and have have different shocks that came with them? (Bilstein 5100 Front: F4-BE5-B109-T5, rear F4-BE5-B110-T5, their for 4-6” lifts) had them for 2 1/2 years and feel like their already done?! It’s been 15,xxx miles since I installed them(don’t drive her much) but it’s been like this from the pass 3-4 months where I feel every bump on the road on the steering wheel and inside the whole cab. Got my wheels rotated to eliminate just to eliminate that, new bushings on rack and pinion, new front wheel bearings. So I’m thinking of getting new shocks but want to know if I should go a different route on shocks to a coilover? I’m only thinking shocks because every time I rotate my tires on oil changes, my tires show uneven wear; highs and lows all over the tire fronts and back tires. Don’t think it’s wheel alignment but idk
    TIA

I have the rcd lift on my 03. I have 60k on the bilstein's that came with the lift kit. They aren't leaking but are starting to feel like they don't have much life left. I will probably get the icons when I do replace them. The only real ride issues I had was axle wrap from the lifting blocks in the rear. Got custom leafs made and no more axle wrap. Also the sway bar that come with the rcd lift kit is a lot beefier then the stock sway bar. It's great for on road driving but makes for a rougher ride off road. I ended up making quick disconnect from my sway bar. Now it feels pretty good on the trails. As for tire wear I just replaced them, they did have a little bit of cupping. But not bad for having 60k on them.20210521_064909.jpg 20210521_072529.jpg

Yep. They are great tires. They did everything I asked them to. Plus I got 60k out of them. I could have gotten more out of them but being winter I figured it would be a good time.

    That’s a sweet looking truck.

Icons and some tuned rear 2.5’s would be badass :burnrubber:
