LMAO brother you do math like I do when I'm telling my wife how much a new gun costs. Little loose and free with the accounting there.

Reading between the lines I'm guessing you REALLY want the 22 Tundra.

Thanks to everyone who replied. Lots of good invaluable advice. I am leaning towards option two after all. My only concern so far is reviewing the carfax history report. Seems the maintenance is a bit of larger periods between each visit despite consistently using the same dealer which did report when maintenance was done. Curious if your thoughts on this one which is option 2 above:

Looks good to me. Time between intervals = oil changes are not needed so frequently. My 2018 has 29k miles. I think I've had three oil changes thus far.

hey just curious on what you meant that you would never trust Android for your truckZ so you wouldn’t recommend trying the Tesla head unit as an upgrade because it’s android based? I kind of feel the same way but it’s the best stock look out there besides stock which I’m 2018 is kind of useless. If I could upgrade to a 2020 head unit I’d probably do that to get Apple car play.

Just my experience with android phones and tablets, they are not always stable, especially compared to stock oem systems that rarely fail or fail entirely, unlike a giant touch screen.
They can crash, freeze, and being huge get scratched or broken easily.
    Maybe it's just me lol.
I am not a fan of the tesla look.
I have no experience with the tesla android unit for our trucks, some here love them.
    Just not for me.

You may be able to use a 20 head unit not sure if they work in the 18 or not but I've seen some for sale before on fakebook.

I have the Kenwood DMX1057X with both Apple CarPlay and Android auto ability and I really like it. I have the stock head unit so as mentioned above it gets damage or quits working, I’ll replace it with stock.

Here is a side view of the install.

just curious if you think this is a good deal. Out the door it comes to 41900 for the 2018 crewmax trd off road limited with 71k miles and for my trade the will give me 27k which seems to be more than any comparable truck on cars.com is selling for.

I'm for no debt. I had a '16 Tacoma double cab, and had two car seats in the back. I'm a short fellow, and so is my wife. The rear facing seats take up space for sure, but I put the rear facing seat on the passenger side to provide for my legroom.

Pay off what you've got and finish the lower payment.

WOW! Tacomas here are listed for a lot more than 27k on average. But we are in truck country here in Utah so... As for the price on the Tundra, it seems like a fair price. What's the overall condition of the Tundra like?

Don't get anything with v6 turbo if you plan on keeping it for a while.

If you can afford it, buy new. Depreciation doesn't matter if you plan to keep the truck for 10+ years. It's also a plus if you have a business to write the depreciation off.

Yes, you could probably do this with a used car, but sloppy seconds aren't my thing anymore.

But, 2.5 gens are hard to find new now.
