Front struts Rancho 9000 vs Bilstien 5000

    Hey guys, I have 2015 Crewmax 4wd SR5 with 86k.
    Relatively new member and I have searched (or tried) this issue. Right now I have a 3 inch spacer lift in front and 2 " block in rear (I bought it this way) . I believe my front could come down .5"-1" (she is kinda nose high) I want to remove rear block go with a shackle. So the obvious question is Rancho or Bilstien?

    Neither, for a few bucks more you can get the Eibach Pro Sport truck adjustable shocks which is essentially the same as the two you mentioned. And the reason why I recommend them is because that valving is much more comfortable for DD than Bilstein at least. Particularly the small bump sensitivity…night and day difference.

    Thanks Oey, I never even thought of Eibach. I thought they were for lowered. I will check them out. The Rear shocks from factory I assume and it has 2" block but it feels like the rear shock is maxed out nearly with almost no down travel.

    A two inch block with factory shocks…that’s definitely not good. Glad to be of service and IMHO you will have a solid setup with Eibach.

    Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, HD RAS, 285/75-18 Nokian Outpost AT, LoPro bed cover, TRD rear sway bar, DD 10 inch exhaust, and various other goodies
    Lots of options for you that would be better than rancho for a Tundra. Ditto @Oey12 , Eibach ProTruck 2.0 system is great for the price (about $1100) , just installed that on my truck. Toytec has some nice offerings. And Billy 6112s or the 8100 series could work for you and then there is OME (old man emu) also priced around a grand. Get the light coilovers unless you are running heavy bumper and winch.

    Seat covers, dash mat, ext. Trans. Cooler, sumo springs, oem pwr fld tow mirrors
    The crewmax is too heavy for the Rancho's. Don't forget to extend your front and rear bump stops. Shackle lift with factory rear bump will likely flatten and destroy your leaf packs when the truck gets loaded. The longer shackle will simply force the spring end/eye down beyond its design limit. Boom, flat springs! Happens to many people.

    Hey Oey, Thats Excatly what I am looking for a softer ride! I know Im getting old, but after I put the N3 rough country on the rear I realized she rides rougher than she did before. I do not want to make that mistake with the front. At least I got 30 days to return those and I really needed the suggestions and help.

    I had various different shocks on a few of my Toyota’s. IMHO the only platform that really was better with stiffer suspension is the 5th gen 4Runner. I have learned and am of the opinion that ride quality loss isn’t worth a slightly better handling vehicle. After all it’s a 6k vehicle and simply isn’t built for “handling”. Hence why I have a very high opinion of Eibach. I have seen in quite a few applications that they really nailed the overall package to be better in almost every category at that price point. No shame in wanting a comfortable ride OP, trust me I get it…keep us posted.
