    Hello All:

It has been a while since I last logged in to forums. Finally, installed 3" Icon Coil-overs with UCA's and thinking about going from stock tires 275/65/r18 to 35" Toyo's. I have the following questions:

    1. What is the expected reduction in gas mileage?
    2. Should upgrading the brakes be a concern (heard that over 3% of tire diameter is not recommended due to faster brake wear)?
    3. Am I able to store a 35" tire as a spare replacement?
    4. Any other concerns that should be considered?

Thank you all in advance for your input.

    1. Get comfortable with the idea of 10-14 mpg.
    2. Stock brakes are overkill to begin with, they will be fine.
    3. Spare tire will have to be in the bed.
    4. Rubbing everywhere. Be prepared to start chopping.
....(Or you can easily run a 295/70r18 [34"] with only minor trimming)

Thank you. I was on the fence between 295's or 35's. Sounds like the 295's may be a the way to go. Assuming a 295 spare will need to be in the bed too, correct? Otherwise, don't like the idea of a BMC but minor trimming like the plastic is okay.

I am interested in switching to 35s, myself. There is plenty of information on what it takes to make that work in the Wheels and Tires section. I've seen pictures of 35s fitting in the spare location. It can be done.

I did that exact same combo 6 years ago. Toyos are a heavy true to size tire, thus why they look so good.

mpg for me was 10 city, 15-16 highway. The 5.7 has plenty of power for 35’s, but it just doesn’t drive the same, i got tired of how it drove. It needs 4.88 or 5.29 gears with a heavy tire like that. On the highway, unless it is perfectly flat, leave it in 5th as it will be shifting 6-5-6-5-6-5 non stop

in 40mpg city streets drive in s4 so it doesnt shift to overdrive and lug.
