The left shock failed, but not sure if there is more sage than I can see. Hoping folks on here can help identify what needs to be fixed? Would greatly appreciate it.

Not a strut, it's a shock on rear, and just looks like it broke, unable to see upper mount , but looks like you just need to replace it ,but be sure and replace both. The leaf springs take most of the weight, shocks stabilize and smooth the ride. Replace with OEM BILSTIEN , OR GOOD recomendation from others.

Replace rear shocks (x2) and should only be about a 30-45 min job.

I would just remove it and straighten it out with a BFH, and then reinstall

Impossible to straighten bent shock piston. Can't beleive you would even suggest that to someone.

Don’t know if this had anything to do with the shock bending that way, but it looks like your missing a leaf spring on the drivers side.

I think you're right, good eye.

Getting the old shocks off the frame is the hardest part. Could take a little time but after that its 10 minutes tops to put the new ones on. Pay attention to where the upper mounts go, there is a hole near them that people use by mistake.

That's really weird, or at least I've never seen that. Check your leafs for any movement, compare side to side. I'm just wondering if perhaps the center pin broke allowing the axle to move. Doesn't look like it from the pics but worth a couple minutes to visually inspect it well. The shocks look newish, sure they're the correct length?

It costs as much as a new pair of shocks.....how much do you want to spend?

Also....how the hell did you do that? I've never in my life had that happen to me on any vehicle. I've had shocks so bad they where falling off because of rust...but never buckled like that.
