So here is my situation, those of you who frequent the Live Thread might have already seen this.

I have a 2019 Turbo S RZR that's pretty modified and very clean. The issue is I barely use it, maybe 3x a year. I don't really have any friends to go riding with and I am limited on taking friends since mine is a 2 seater. To note, I am also limited by where I willing to trailer it with my Ram 2500 Cummins.

I have had 2 Tundras, both builds are on here, both 2.5 gens. The day I sold my Tundra for the Cummins, I had no regrets getting the Cummins however I immediately missed having a Toyota.

I am now thinking of getting a 2nd Gen Tundra and building it for my offroad vehicle/camp rig. The market is not ideal to buy a used truck, however I might actually turn a profit on my RZR.

Obviously a LT Tundra wont even compare to a built RZR offroad, however I will have the ability to just hop in and go and be more active with the Tundra community here in AZ which I do enjoy!

This thread is more just to see peoples opinions on swapping a 2019 Turbo S RZR for another Tundra to offroad.

*** I would be keeping my Ram 2500 Cummins as well.

I found a 2012 with 166k miles, that has service history of the same dealership servicing every 5k like clockwork, runs great, and has a clean frame/interior.

Heres some pics for attention of my prior Tundras.

If the next possible Tundra purchase is going to get you more seat time off-road with just being able to get in and go like you said, I'd say go for it and sell your RZR. Especially if the RZR is used only 3x throughout the year and is going to make you profit. I'm a HUGE sucker for more seat time so I'm biased towards you getting another great truck.

I'd say you answered your own question, the RZR only gets out 3x a year so you're being a dummy by not going through with this plan lol

I’m a fan of LT Tundras for getting seat time, and carrying everything for camping. 620D1343-01F0-4575-8F75-1DC0A8F2546D.jpg

Do it. You can always sell it and get a RZR again. I've bought and sold things and bought them again because that's where I was at in life. No regrets here.

More versatility on having a closed cab with a/c for year round fun. Way easier to get up and go. Can haul more goods for camping purposes. Can still get to many places that your rzr could.

but you already know all this ;)

cons of a new build…cost, parts and labor availability might be 6+ months before you’re out playing again.

lol, well that will certainly help! Hopefully you’re better at allocating time than I am!

We have a small group of east valley guys on here that remain fairly active with at least 1-2 single day trips/month around the valley. So finding somebody to pair up with for an outing wouldn’t be an issue….better than 3x/year…lol

Why not just wheel the Fiat :anonymous:

But yes, this is my argument to my buddy that keeps trying to get me to buy a Rzr - Arizona is dusty and hot, and having a closed cab solves those two issues. I love going out in my truck, and we've got a good crew in Chandler Chandler/Western New Mexico (@AT x AT) that goes out pretty regularly. Would it be easier and faster to get some places in a Rzr? Sure. Is it more fun to squeeze a big ass Tundra through a Jeep trail? Hell yes.

Off topic sort of, but what are you thinking in terms of price for your RZR, I am actually in the market for a 2 seater as we speak.

If you'll get more use out of the Tundra, then I don't know why you wouldn't. It's a prime time to sell a SxS as well, so get the ads up and start planning!

Seat time is one thing, but that RZR is NASTY!
It seems the LT Tundra is what many are seeing as a top choice, BUT, there is no way it can do what that RZR can do. My Brother has the 4 seater and the things we did with it were absolutely amazing. Even if it was only a few times a year... Every time is extremely memorable. Most of us don't have a chance to really open them up because of where we live, but a 200hp 2 seater in AZ is the pinnacle of open air fun... every time you get to drive it!
I would try and navigate a solution without selling the RZR if possible. If the RZR was stock it would be a different story, but mods have a lot of your sweat equity, and that is worth getting a bit more back from it for a longer time.

She runs the TC kit, it uses standard lower ball joints.

I'm gonna go a different route entirely. Sell thr RZR, forget a Tundra. Buy the Speed thingy and enjoy it so much that you'll get more seat time.

Sorry, I see I failed to respond. When Hulk was built, there weren’t really options. I heard Solo was working on a solution, but I haven’t checked recently. The LBJ (actually the bolts that hold it together) are the big weakness in my build.
