I decided to paint my chrome vent rings flat black. After removing them, and starting to prep them, I left them 'pre-paint'.

I simply used a red scotch brite pad to remove the shine, it gives it a brushed aluminum look and for now I like it. I can always paint them later if I decide I don't like this.

Not my style, but I like the originality of it. Looks better than the chrome.

If you dig it, rock it.

I hate the shiny chrome but I also think that too much flat black looks cheap. I don't know. I have a Cement '21, thinking about using some kind of blue as an 'accent' color so maybe they'll end up blue at some point.

I'm a fan of them in blue. Mine are the 3d printed covers that just snap over but they completely cover the chrome so I'm happy.

Its the Rock Warrior shifter (also called tomahawk shifter) from a '13 Tundra I think. I found it being sold by a member here and refinished it. I painted it the charcoal gray, added the blue leather and used blue hardware.
